Cheap date nights are hard to come by in this city, but last night Josh and I got to go out and check out a sneek peak, without having to pay those outrageous movie ticket prices. The movie, FAST FIVE. Now those of you who know me, know I am a huge Vin Diesel fan, so of course it’s a show I’m gonna love and boy did I ever.

All it takes is one person, all it takes is one action, all it takes is one day to change the world. This next video is a very beautiful example of it simply taking one person to do something different to alter the world and everything in it. Very touching, I hope you enjoy it.

Today is Earth day. What have you done to help mother Earth, to help Gaia?

It breaks my heart what we’ve done to this planet. This poor innocent planet, and all the animals upon it, who are simply subjected to our punishment and cruelties.

This “letter” from the Huffington Post tells it all. If this doesn’t break your heart I don’t know what will.

Dear Children,

I know you are busy with your lives and your careers and such, and you know I’m not one to meddle or nag. Live and let live, that’s my motto. But as your Mother I’ve got to tell you that your behavior lately has been hurtful to me, and to the rest of our family. You seem to have forgotten that I am a living, breathing being, with real feelings. And right now my feelings are hurt. Badly.

I held you in my arms. Fed you. Gave you a nice home. Helped you grow into the people you are today. I guess I have failed, because the people you are today have wounded me. I want to scream. Sometimes I do scream. Of course you don’t hear me, you only hear what’s coming out of your own mouths. How about listening for a change?

Wow, the Universe is on it’s game today. It is very much all in the way I think. The more I pour my heart and soul out into the world, the better the rewards coming back to me. I’m glad that the way I think is my purpose on this Earth. I’ll gladly contribute my thoughts, my feelings, my passions till the day my life no longer exists. And I am happy to think that lives will be changed, because that’s what I’m shooting for.

I decided last night, today would be a better day and it started off with a bang, sure to continue. Just keep pushing forward, allowing the Universe to fill my life with all things great.

When you don’t know what you want, Sylvia, it’s probably time to begin enjoying what you have.

The Universe

I already enjoy and love all I have. I will be forever grateful for that which I have. It may not be much when compared to others, but it is worth it’s weight in gold to me. I have a family who I love and care for, and who loves and cares for me.

I have a roof over my head. It may not be the best one, or the prettiest one, but it keeps me warm and dry none-the-less.

I have food in my tummy. Sure it ain’t no filet mignon but it’s still staying off the hunger pangs and that’s something to be grateful for.

I have parents who love me and care for me no matter what I put them through in the past.

I have fur babies that love me no matter what, and I share their adoration. Nothing like cuddling up with a sweet little pup after a stressful day, or running my fingers through a cats fur after a day of too much stress.

I have a husband who loves me just the way I am. He ain’t perfect, and neither am I, but we try our best and I’m grateful for that.
